Equine Therapy in Oregon

Equine Therapy is a unique and innovative mental health therapy that is done in unison with horses who are highly attuned and offer an environment for clients to discover answers within themselves.

Clients don’t need to learn how to ride a horse to benefit from the therapy. In traditional equine therapy, learning to ride can often become a distraction, making the experience more about mastering the mechanics of horsemanship rather than focus on personal growth and emotional healing.

Equine therapy addresses issues such as PTSD, addiction, domestic abuse, behavioral disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

People of all ages can participate. Through my personal observation, watching clients interact with the horses has resulted in greater sense of self empowerment, internal harmony, release of past trauma and healthier relationships with self and others.

Come and experience this powerful and effective process. It can change your life. Education and certification is through EAGALA, with additional training with Natural Lifemanship and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Using a collaborative approach, equine therapy incorporates a Licensed Mental Health Professional and a qualified Equine Specialist working together with horses and clients as equal partners in an experiential process that empowers life-changing outcomes.

The horses provide immediate, non-judgmental feedback through their behavior. Clients can see their emotional state reflected in the horse, allowing them to better understand and work through their feelings. This dynamic can lead to amazing breakthroughs.
